Hi to all out there!!
Well, here it is - a decade of my posts about Basses and Guitars and this is the 250th post!! Put the flags out!!
Since I started this blog, I have come into contact with all sorts of people in person and loads of them on line, who have visited the site from all over the world - over half a million of them, which on average is around 140 a day!
It doesn't actually work like that, as the more content I put up, the more visitors I get but it is still a great deal of folks who have dropped in!
The thing I love is the fact that someone has found something in my posts that is relevant to them - as an example I have just had a contact from a new reader who has connections with Peter Cook instruments. Brilliant!
So, if you have been with me from the start - Thank You, I hope you have enjoyed the ride so far. Winter is coming, so I am going to use some of my time to put up more posts, with the ones I haven't done yet.
I did make a start on selling some off but didn't get very far, so the majority of what you see, I still have. . . . minus a few. : )
For anyone just landing on here, perhaps best if you click on the link below and that will take you to two indexes I did - all sorts of interesting stuff to see and read and if you want to contact me, scroll right down to the bottom and you will see "Contact me here", click on that and drop me a line.
Index List to a lot of Basses and Guitars
Ten years on and 250 Posts. . . . . Cheers!! : )

Flat Eric, Bass and Guitar. . . .
Hi to all out there. . . . yes I am still here! : )
This is post number 249 and on October the 6th, my little contribution to the world of Basses and Guitars, will be ten years old!
Yes, Ten Years Old!!
In the early days, I was putting out over fifty posts a year, with a pile of information, some of it useful!! : )
There were off the shelf instruments, customs, specials - all sorts and on top of that I did features about Peavey, the T Series, T-40 and T-60 as well as a large feature on Peter Cook, the guitar builder and member of the band, July - all was buzzin'!
I also did an extended piece about Reeve Guitars, which attracted a lot of interest, as did the magazine feature I did, with Lars Mullen.
Then, things changed and I couldn't find enough time to dedicate to this blog on a regular basis - that's life. I now feel that I can get back into it and as it is the 10th anniversary and the next post will be number 250, I think I will climb aboard again and kick start this blog back into life.
I may start a parallel blog, sort of a 2019 remix - not sure yet but what I can say is, if you were with me from the beginning - Thank You and I hope to keep you interested.
Cheers. : )
PS. If anyone of you wants to drop me a line - perhaps detailing their favourite post or just to say Hi - Now is the time. Ping something on the comments and I'll respond. : )

MPC Electra 620 Bass. . . . .
Haven't played this for ages. . . .
Hi, back again!
Life seems to speed by at an alarming rate but I thought is was time to write a few lines.
I dug this out, the other day.
I played this quite a bit, when I first got it and then it only came out now and again. It must a while since I had this out of the case and it was time to have a quick go - I had forgotten how nice it was to play.
I have just found the pics, from my original shoot, so thought I would put them back up again.
Very nice, indeed.
Cheers. :)

Attilla Balogh Odyssey Bass. . . .
Almost full circle! Ten years later, I am still writing about this bass. I was a regular contributor on Basschat, for many years and then a change of software meant the format had changed and I was no longer familiar with it, so I became a stranger to Basschat, with the odd post, now and then. Talk about the Atilla Balogh Odyssey Bass, brought be back to the fold. : )
This is the bass. . . .
This is a link to Basschat:Basschat and this is a link to the thread Basschat Odyssey Bass
Maybe you have knowledge, experience or have one of Atilla's instruments?
Why not join up to Basschat and share what you can?
Cheers. : )

Happy New Year and Ray Cooper Bass. . . .
Happy New Year! All the best for 2019!
Over the Christmas period, I dug out a couple of old friends but whilst doing that, I came across my Ray Cooper Custom Bass!
I have not even opened the case on this one, for a while and thought it was time to flick the catches and have a go!
A joy to look at and play, medium scale and totally unique!
Here it is, with a couple of like minded friends.
Here is a link to the feature I did in 2014, which has several more images, taken at the time. Ray Cooper Custom Bass
Magic! I'm going to try and find the Ibanez Explorer and the Gibson RD, over the next couple of weeks and give them a go.
All the best.
Cheers. :)
